Visual Journaling for 5th-8th Graders (June Session)
Keeping a Visual Journal helps artists develop a sense of self-discipline and create a habit of creativity. Visual Journals are a safe haven of personal space and expression, and help build self-esteem and encourage personal discovery. They are great learning tool for artists of any age!
Each week we will explore new artistic techniques, personal and group critiquing skills, and have a prompt for an optional "at home" project between classes. We'll also create some stand alone art pieces using some of the techniques we've learned from our journals.
First time participants need to bring an additional $12 to purchase a mixed media sketch book to use in class. These sketch books can be used from session to session until full.
All other art supplies and a snack will be provided.
